 Capt. Rodney Smith Scholarship Fund

> #### September 15th, 1957 - December 11th, 2024

The **Capt. Rodney Smith Scholarship Fund** was established to honor the life and legacy of our founder—a dedicated conservationist, writer, and lifelong advocate for Florida’s waterways and the people who cherish them. Rodney believed that fishing was more than a pastime—it was a way to connect with nature, foster stewardship, and build stronger communities.

This scholarship fund supports adults who are passionate about marine conservation, sustainable fishing, and environmental education. The program will pay for adults to attend Sea School: U.S. Coast Guard Approved Maritime Training and provides a stipend for a total of $2,500 per scholar.

Your donation helps continue Rodney's mission of nurturing the next generation of marine stewards.
