2015 Hook Kids on Fishing Quick Guide: What You Need To Know Before The Event!
Amazement, curiosity, wonder and smiles are the expressions we see on children’s faces when they are handed a new fishing rod at the Anglers for Conservation’s Hook Kids on Fishing (HKOF) program. In the next 6 weeks, 16 HKOF events will be held across Florida and registration for all of them will begin March 1. See the list below for a location near you. Here are just a few of the lessons learned:
- Walking safely with a fishing rod in hand
- Tying a hook onto the line with a clinch knot
- Casting to a target
- How to use the various items found in a tackle box
- Go fishing
